Brake Pads Are Easy To Forget

Brake pads do not usually ask politely for attention. They just get thinner while you enjoy the bike. Then one day the lever feels different or a service reveals they were closer than you thought.

Look at them before a big ride. Check both sides of the caliper, not just the easy view. Uneven wear can tell its own story. If you are not sure, get someone competent to inspect them.

Brakes are not a place to stretch luck. Fresh pads are cheaper than a bad moment.
