Grease The Small Contact Points
Small contact points make a big difference to how a bike feels. Levers, pivots, sidestand, footpegs, locks, and adjusters all live in the weather and quietly get stiff if nobody cares.
Use the right lubricant in the right place and avoid spraying everything like you are seasoning chips. Clean first where needed. Check for wear while you are there. A lever that moves smoothly and returns cleanly gives more confidence than one that feels like it is dragging through sand.
These are not glamorous jobs. They are the little touches that make a bike feel looked after every time you use it.
