Start The Year With A Service List
A service list is not exciting, which is why it works. Write down mileage, last oil change, brake fluid date, coolant date, tyre condition, chain and sprocket life, pads, battery age, and anything you noticed last season.
Once it is on paper, the bike feels less mysterious. You can plan jobs, order parts, and decide what needs a mechanic before the first sunny weekend creates urgency. It also stops you relying on memory, which is famous for being confident and wrong.
Start the year with the list. The rides will feel better when the bike is not carrying a backlog.
